    After the Event Print
The guests have gone, the dishes are done, but the event isn’t quite over.  There are just a couple more things to do to wrap up your celebration.

    Thank You Cards

It’s a good idea to send out your thank you’s as soon as possible after the event.  If you decide not to open your gifts whilst guests are present, this is a great way to personally thank each guest for their thoughtful gift.  Thank you cards do not need to be particularly long but are a considerate way to show guests you appreciate the time and effort they put into your event.  Avoid the urge to rip open all of the wrapping in a frenzy as this can lead to misplaced cards and having no recollection of who gave you what gift.  Try to have someone write down the names and gifts while you open the present, and be sure to say thank you.

    A Well Deserved Break

When the party is done and over and the guests have gone home, it is worth considering having a well-deserved break.  Celebrations are stressful and time spent recuperating well help you to remember the event in a positive light.  If you are heading interstate or overseas immediately after the event, book all of your travel plans well in advance to avoid any last minute disasters.
